Pas de Deux has been awarded the Heallreaf Prize! Many thanks to the jurors of Heallreaf. Along with the £500 prize goes the beautiful “Heallreaf Bobbin” made from 2000 year old bog oak and made by local craftsman Andrew Dickinson.
Heallreaf is a biennial exhibition for small-format tapestries. The exhibit will be at West Dean College in Sussex, England until Saturday, 22nd April so, if you haven’t seen the wonderful tapestries on display already, do come along sometime in the next few days and vote for your favourite work in the show. The artist of the piece receiving the most votes by the end of the exhibition’s run in Brick Lane, London will receive the “People’s Choice” prize of £250, generously sponsored by Weavers Bazaar.
You can also vote online at www.weaversbazaar.com.
This prize will be announced on the 10th July on both the Heallreaf and Weavers Bazaar websites and via social media.
